Getting Started: Finding Your Publishable Story & Writing Basics
Many events shape our lives. If you want to publish your memoir, you need to find your publishable story. What main event made you who you are today? Was it a war, an illness, a career choice, a person? In this workshop we will explore the events in our lives and choose one central theme that seems to be the core event that brought us to where we are today. We will learn and practice techniques for finding and shaping that core event into a publishable story. The course is self paced and you can join at any time! It includes the opportunity to share your work with other participants and get feedback from peers and from me. The course is completely online. FREE! That is right - absolutely FREE! What are you waiting for? Let's get started! Welcome to Getting Started: Finding Your Publishable Story & Writing Basics Click on the following link to join the class grouphttps://www.sophia.org/ . Scroll to the bottom and enter the group code where it says "Sophia in the Classroom. Have a group code?" Group code: a21bea Work through the lessons one by one; they build on one another, so it is best to work through them in sequence. At the bottom of each lesson is a link back to the group home page (table of contents). Click on that to move to the next lesson. |
